The Skunk Ape is a variety of Southern Bigfoot, found in Florida, though it has been seen in other, nearby states. Although often misinterpreted to be Bigfoot, these creatures are most often described as monkey- or orangutan-like.

Appearance & DescriptionEdit

The Skunk Ape is described as orange, brown, or black, with long, shaggy fur. The feet are like ape feet or human hands. The most distinctive feature, however, is the origin of the Skunk Ape's name. The sightings are often accompanied and preceded by a noxious odor.

Theories/Explanations Edit

The Skunk Ape is often explained as a form of unknown ape, related to orangutans and chimpanzees. The method the ancestors of Skunk Apes used to reach Florida, however, are unknown.
