Chauvet Lions Large

Artwork supposedly depicting the Buffalo Lion

Buffalo Lions are huge, man-eating cats from Central Africa. Their name comes from their preference for buffalo meat. Sightings aren't the only evidence supporting the existence of Buffalo Lions, there are native cave art pieces that depict supposed Buffalo Lions.

Appearance & Description[]

Buffalo Lions look like the basic lion, but are much larger. They average around 9 and a half feet long. Also, neither males or females have manes.

Theories/Explanations[]

Buffalo Lions are thought to be related to regular lions, maybe a subspecies, or a genetic variation.
